How can harsh chemicals improve my skin?
While some chemical peels contain harsh chemicals, the products we offer contain ingredients strong enough to penetrate through to the dead, damaged skin cells and reveal the healthy skin underneath without the peeling and down time produced by stronger, acid-based peels.
How long is a typical chemical peel treatment session?
The treatment session time really depends on which chemical peel you choose; however, all of our peels take between 30 minute and an hour. In fact, some of our patients like to schedule treatment during their lunch break.
Are there any side effects or downtime associated with chemical peels?
Immediately after your peel, you’ll notice redness and possible facial swelling that should subside within 24 hours of the treatment. None of our peels require recovery or downtime, and most patients return to regular activities immediately. There are some chemical peels that will make the skin peel for up to a week after the treatment, but the peels we offer are mild with appreciable results the very next day.
How do I know which peel will produce my desired results?
It’s hard to suggest a specific peel without a proper consultation because what gives one patient their desired results may not work for another. After a consultation, we can tell you which peel will best suit you needs, or if a customized facial by one of our skilled estheticians would benefit you best.
